Tell us a bit about your business.
My business partner and I both had our own businesses: Kathy did website design and I (Jenny) did social media marketing. We connected instantly and realized that by merging our services we would be able to better serve our clients. We’ve now expanded and offer branding solutions and comprehensive online marketing services.
How has your business progressed recently and what do you attribute that to? Where do you see your business in one year?
In the past year, we have grown our new brand from the ground up. We’ve integrated our client base and expanded the services we offer to clients by creating a more robust team of professionals. In a year from now, we hope to be one of the major marketing firms in the Portland, Maine area.
What are your favorite tools or resources that help you do business smarter, and how have they made a difference?
We use 17Hats as a day-to-day productivity tool and we implement things like Hootsuite, Buffer and GatherContent to work with our clients. We rely on Google Analytics and other metric markers when working with our clients.
What advice would you offer to businesses like yours just starting up?
We would recommend finding a focus group to join and bounce ideas around with. We attended such a group regularly and found the resources, mentoring and advice to be invaluable.
