When Joe Sheehan began trading binary options in the beginning of 2017, he assumed his extensive background in analysis, problem-solving and algorithms would make the gamble well worth it.
Thankfully Sheehan was financially secure, because his first try at investing resulted in huge losses. In his words, “I failed miserably!”
But Sheehan didn’t let that initial stumble stop him. In fact, it sparked an idea. What if he built a tool that helped him, and others, predict market changes? What if that tool was so user-friendly that it gave even the most novice of investors a solid chance at seeing returns?
That’s exactly what he did with the binary options indicator Buffalo, the flagship product of Sheehan’s company, Tribal-FX Binary Options.
This 180-degree shift from failed investor to creating a tool with a 95% profit return didn’t happen overnight. And it also didn’t happen because Sheehan was intent on turning a profit. According to him, he decided to take the leap from hobby trader to investment tool developer because he wanted to make a difference. He says, “I was fed up! Fed up with the service I was getting. Fed up with the lying and fed up with the sea of cowboys conning people out of their money. I decided to not only make a difference, but to be the difference.”
Like his first try at trading binary options, the path from hobby to successful business wasn’t exactly smooth. Sheehan explains, “My biggest challenge was time! Once you can master time management, you’re already halfway there! I think a lot of people complain that there is not enough time in the day, so definitely have a ‘hero’ to take notes from! Mine being Elon Musk. Be inspired by people who are visually doing well, not verbally doing well.”
Although his road to securing well over 2,500 customers in less than a year was time-consuming and mentally taxing, Sheehan learned a lot about himself along the way. He explains, “I think I’ve learned that I have a lot of determination, integrity and drive to keep things moving.”
In addition to his incredible resiliency, Sheehan also credits his success to constantly striving to learn new things. Which is why he lists Google as his favorite tool, saying, “If you have an adventurous mind, Google is the pathway to anything you need to know.”
But while determination and love of learning certainly helped build Tribal-FX, in the end Sheehan believes that the true cause of his success is that his primary goal has never been money. For other entrepreneurs out there, he offers this advice: “Make sure your main goal is to help others! You obviously want to help yourself too, but make sure your ‘paid service’ is there to guide and help people get around the problems you started off with.”
As of publication, Tribal-FX has started adding to its list of financial instruments thanks, in part, to Buffalo’s success. The new products include a binary options auto trader and the soon-to-be-released Falcon-X, a binary options desktop management product.
